Electrosoft Provides Kantara Assessments to Credential Service Providers In Support of Online Credential Reuse January 27, 2016

Electrosoft has been at the forefront of identity credential reuse and federation solutions as well as assessment services. In Kantara, Electrosoft saw an opportunity to support and join an early trust framework provider that could offer credential assurance services for non-PKI credentials. As co-authors of early guidance documents related to non-PKI online authentication, such as NIST SP 800-63-1, Electronic Authentication Guideline, Electrosoft has led and closely followed the online authentication sector for over a decade. Electrosoft strongly believes that for successful federation of credentials, we need much more than just technical solutions. A trust framework service, such as the one Kantara offers, is critical to growing this marketplace.

Electrosoft is a Kantara Accredited Assessor. In our role as Assessors, Electrosoft not only determines if a Credential Service Provider (CSP) complies with the Kantara Identity Assurance Framework: Service Assessment Criteria; we also actively participate in Kantara Identity Assurance Working Group activities. In this working group, we bring our real world findings and experience to the Kantara policy owners, in order to help evolve the requirements. Electrosoft is pleased to have provided assessment services to several organizations who have been accredited by the Kantara. These organizations are:

  • Athena Health
  • ID.Me
  • Symantec
  • Verizon
