Electrosoft Services, Inc. (Electrosoft) is pleased
Electrosoft Facilitates Adoption of Secure Cloud Services within US Federal Government September 18, 2012

Electrosoft Services, Inc. (Electrosoft) is pleased to announce that the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Third Party Assessment Organization (3PAO) Expert Review Board has granted Accepted 3PAO Status to Electrosoft under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).  As a FedRAMP Accredited 3PAO, Electrosoft is authorized to perform security assessments for cloud service providers (CSP) seeking FedRAMP Provisional Authorization.

FedRAMP is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. As a part of the FedRAMP process, cloud service providers (CSPs) must use a FedRAMP approved third party assessor to independently validate and verify that they meet the FedRAMP requirements. On December 8, 2011, OMB released a policy memo requiring Executive departments and agencies to “use FedRAMP when conducting risk assessments, security authorizations, and granting ATOs for all Executive department or agency use of cloud services.”

“We are honored to earn this designation as a FedRAMP accredited 3PAO," said Dr. Sarbari Gupta, Electrosoft President and CEO.  “Cloud computing offers a unique opportunity to dramatically reduce procurement, initialization and operating costs while increasing the portability, reliability, and resiliency of information technology infrastructures. As a FedRAMP Accredited 3PAO, we are committed to working with cloud security providers and Federal organizations to further the availability and adoption of secure cloud services within the Federal government, in alignment with the President’s International Strategy for Cyberspace and Cloud First policy.”
