Presentation Available from Electrosoft CEO’s Identity Week America Educational Session on Non-PKI Derived Credentials October 11, 2023

Electrosoft’s CEO, Dr. Sarbari Gupta, recently facilitated two sessions at Identity Week America 2023 in Washington, D.C., which drew more than 3,000 attendees and “the brightest minds in the identity sector to promote innovation, new thinking, and more effective identity solutions.” The company’s Jeff Wilson, director of business development, also facilitated a roundtable discussion at the event, exploring identity, credential, and access management (ICAM) to support the zero trust journey.

The presentation from Dr. Gupta’s “Non-PKI Derived Credentials – Implementation Models” educational session is now available for download from the Electrosoft website.

“Identity management is one of the most important and innovative areas of federal cybersecurity right now,” said Dr. Gupta. “It was a pleasure participating in the rich discussions at Identity Week America and I’m delighted to share this presentation as a resource for others who are exploring and defining ICAM solutions for their federal agencies.”

In the session, Dr. Gupta reviewed the benefits and drawbacks of personal identity verification (PIV) cards, outlined derived credentials, and introduced non-public key infrastructure (PKI) authenticators based on FIDO2 Standards. She then stepped through multiple implementation models that combine the strengths of PIV and FIDO2.
