Electrosoft CEO invited to speak at the Pentagon-Joint Service Provider Cybersecurity Forum on the use of Derived Credentials within the DoD October 19, 2016

Electrosoft is pleased to announce that Dr. Sarbari Gupta, Electrosoft President and CEO spoke today at the Cybersecurity Forum organized by the Pentagon Joint Service Provider (JSP). The JSP is a new initiative within the Department of Defense to combine several IT-focused, but separate, DoD organizations and will provide the common framework for JSP to manage IT services in a uniform fashion across all portions of the DoD.

Dr. Gupta’s presentation discussed the use of PKI-based derived credentials on mobile devices to enable 2-factor identity assurance with secure applications on mobile platforms. The use and proliferation of derived credentials within the DoD is expected to grow exponentially over the next few years based on the backdrop of the recent declaration by the DoD Chief Information Officer, Mr. Terry Halvorsen, that the Common Access Card (CAC) lacks agility and will be eliminated from DoD Information Systems in two years and the recently released DoD Mobility Strategy that envisions personnel working securely at any location over any device and across any network.
