Electrosoft Awarded IDIQ Contract for DLA JETS

Electrosoft is pleased to announce that it has been awarded one of the Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) multiple-award contracts from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for J6 Enterprise Technology Services (JETS).  JETS is now the primary acquisition vehicle for all DLA Information Technology (IT) requirements (21 task areas), with potential task orders worth $6B over the 8 year period of performance (5-year base period plus one 3-year option).

JETS will provide the full range of IT services, technical and management expertise that support applications, software, hardware, infrastructure, and systems, across the DLA IT Enterprise. Support will be provided for information technology solutions, technical support, maintenance and sustainment; operations support; application development, maintenance and technical support; and lifecycle management. Additionally, the acquisition also supports administrative program management support for IT program offices and DLA Information Operations (J6) Office. While JETS will primarily support DLA IT services requirements, the contract allows for de-centralized ordering by other DoD agencies.

“Electrosoft is delighted to have been awarded this contract.  We now look forward to bidding on and being awarded JETS task orders, and in doing so demonstrate delivery excellence in support of DLA’s critical mission”, stated Dr. Sarbari Gupta, President and CEO.

Electrosoft CEO invited to speak at the Pentagon-Joint Service Provider Cybersecurity Forum on the use of Derived Credentials within the DoD

Electrosoft is pleased to announce that Dr. Sarbari Gupta, Electrosoft President and CEO spoke today at the Cybersecurity Forum organized by the Pentagon Joint Service Provider (JSP). The JSP is a new initiative within the Department of Defense to combine several IT-focused, but separate, DoD organizations and will provide the common framework for JSP to manage IT services in a uniform fashion across all portions of the DoD.

Dr. Gupta’s presentation discussed the use of PKI-based derived credentials on mobile devices to enable 2-factor identity assurance with secure applications on mobile platforms. The use and proliferation of derived credentials within the DoD is expected to grow exponentially over the next few years based on the backdrop of the recent declaration by the DoD Chief Information Officer, Mr. Terry Halvorsen, that the Common Access Card (CAC) lacks agility and will be eliminated from DoD Information Systems in two years and the recently released DoD Mobility Strategy that envisions personnel working securely at any location over any device and across any network.

The slides for the presentation can be downloaded here.
