Dr. Sarbari Gupta, president and chief executive officer of Electrosoft Services, Inc., has been recognized by the Minority Enterprise Executive Council (MEEC) on its list of 25 Powerful Minority Women in Business.

The award was presented a recent ceremony at the Westin Grand Hotel in Washington, D.C. The keynote speaker at the event was Lurita Doan, Administrator of the U.S. General Services Administration, first woman to serve as chief executive of GSA. This event was sponsored by MEA Magazine, Northrop Grumman Corporation, Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America, and Porter Education and Communications.

The list recognizes minority women from corporations as well as the small business community who are executives, decisions-makers, presidents and CEO's.

"This list includes women who are making major contributions to the business community and creating opportunities for other entrepreneurs," said Gupta. "I’m proud to be a part of it." Gupta’s company, Electrosoft, is a small, woman-owned firm focused on solving complex problems in the Information Technology space, with a special focus on IT security and information assurance.

The MEEC assists and promotes the interests of minority entrepreneurs by initiating, encouraging and promoting, in cooperation with federal, state, and local agencies and officials and with organizations, both public and private. The MEEC supports efforts to increase the availability of information and service programs to advance the development of small and disadvantaged minority/women-owned businesses.

Electrosoft Services awarded subcontract to perform a third-party independent assessment of the NASA PIV Card Issuing Facility based on SP 800-79 guidance.

Electrosoft Services, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a subcontract from SAIC to perform an independent assessment of the National Aeronautics and Space Adminstration (NASA) PIV Card Issuing Facilities to determine compliance with SP 800-79 Certification and Accrediation guidelines.As part of this assessment, Electrosoft will determine if the NASA PCI facilities are in compliance with all technical, functional and organizational requirements of FIPS 201 and its supporting documents.
