The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) releases SP 800-79-1. This SP, co-authored by Electrosoft, provides appropriate and useful guidelines for accrediting the reliability of issuers of PIV Cards that are established to collect, store, and disseminate personal identity credentials and issue smart cards, based on the standards published in response to HSPD-12.

Electrosoft Services, Inc. announced today that its contract with the General Services Administration (GSA) to support their FIPS 201 Evaluation Program has been extended. As part of this Program, Electrosoft will continue to provide program management and technical oversight over all aspects of the Evaluation Program including maintaining the Approved Products List (APL).
