Electrosoft Services, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a subcontract from Booz Allen Hamilton to develop a Trust Validation Tool for NIST that can be used to determine the authenticity of an issued PIV Card. One of the key functions of this tool will be to use PKI path processing and validation to ensure that certificates are issued by Certification Authorities that participate in the hierarchical PKI for the Common Policy managed by the Federal PKI or issued by a Legacy PKI cross-certified with the Federal Bridge.
