FEBRUARY 2008 February 26, 2008Electrosoft co-authored NIST DRAFT SP 800-63-1, titled - "Electronic Authentication Guidelines" released. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) releases DRAFT SP 800-63-1. This SP, co-authored by Electrosoft, provides technical guidelines for the design of electronic systems for the remote authentication of citizens by government agencies. The revision represents an expansion and reorganization of the original document, broadening the discussion of technologies available to agencies, and giving a more detailed discussion of assertion technologies. February 05, 2008 Electrosoft Services awarded task order to support NGA in performing a security control gap analysis for their General Support System as part of their Certification and Accreditiation effort as required by FISMA. Electrosoft Services, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a task order from the National Gallery of Art (NGA) to conduct a gap analysis between the prescribed security controls in SP 800-53 and their implementation status within the Gallery's General Support System (GSS).
